Jen: Is it?
Mark: Yes. I plan things because if I leave everything to you, nothing gets decided until the last minute.

Mark: You know what? Maybe you should just plan the entire trip yourself since I apparently ruin vacations.

Mark: Yeah. We definitely spiraled there for a bit.
Jen: We did.
Mark: Sorry for the sarcasm earlier.
Jen: Sorry for sounding accusatory.
Mark: Truce?
Jen: Truce.
Mark: Okay, practical question: cabin or hotel?
Jen: Cabin. Definitely cabin.
Mark: Same. I found one with a fireplace and a huge deck overlooking the mountains.
Jen: That sounds amazing.
Mark: It also has terrible Wi-Fi.
Jen: Honestly, that might be good for us.
Mark: Forced digital detox.
Jen: Exactly. No work emails. No doom-scrolling. Just us.
Mark: I like the sound of that.
Jen: Me too.
Mark: Maybe we can bring cards and actually talk to each other like it's 1998.

Mark: I'm full of innovative ideas.

Mark: Also, I was thinking we could invite your brother for one dinner if he's nearby.

Mark: I know you miss seeing him.

Mark: Good coffee, mountain views, at least one ridiculous dessert place, and one hike that doesn't require oxygen tanks.
Jen: Agreed. And at least one completely lazy day where we do absolutely nothing.
Mark: I can do that.
Jen: Also, maybe we should set a budget before we start booking things so we don't stress later.
Mark: Smart. See, this is why we balance each other out. You think about stability; I think about adventure.
Jen: And together we usually land somewhere healthy.
